Historia de la Navidad

¡Feliz Navidad!

¡Vamos a aprender!

I love that Nate is so natural. He’s exactly like I would be which makes the podcasts very real. You both make me laugh, in a good way! It is also an excellent way to learn as being a native English speaker, as Nate is, Nate’s mistakes make me laugh as I understand where he’s coming from and how he has, in many instances, translated from English, which doesn’t always work! Great fun. A very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year to you both.
    Annie xx

    1. Aww, thanks so much Annie! Glad to hear that my mistakes are similar ones that you would make and that you can learn from the corrections. 🙂 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you as well!

      1. I am a native french speaker. I just listening the podcast on Navidad. I already had the pdf transcript. It was easier to follow the podcast. How could I get others, including the pdf transcript. Sorry for my written english but it helps me improving my english. Thank you.

        1. Hi Francoise, you can get all the transcripts sent to you by entering your email address on each of the pages that you are listening to. Or get them all with a small donation (see top right of the website).

  2. Feliz Navidad Andrea y Nate!

Hay una communidad de marineros como nosotros (yachties living on board their boats and cruising around the Caribbean).

It could be very nice to hear about Puerto Rico. And maybe any themes to do with sailing and the sea would be very useful not just for me but for this sailing community. Maybe a new category of students for you? I would put a link onto Facebook groups for cruisers and the Cruisers’ forum with your permission.
In Trinidad I got my anchor chain wrapped around a wreck at the bottom of the bay. There was a fishing boat with some friendly Venezuelan fishermen who came to help us. I didn’t know how to say ‘our anchor chain is stuck’. It is an example of the kind of situation where classical Spanish phrases that you learn in school books are not helpful. They dived down to try to free us.

Have a wonderful holiday and thank you for the lovely podcasts. I hope you keep making them! Will recommend you to anyone I know who is learning Spanish like me.

  4. I get so much from your podcasts and I really enjoyed this one about the story of the first Christmas. The transcripts help alot. Helpful to use on first hearing then to listen a second time without the transcript! Thank you both. Your tuition for intermediates is the best out there (and I’ve listened to many others!)
